On March 17, 2016, Professor Jian-feng Wang was invited to give a lecture titled "The challenges for the U.S. public education and reform". Prof. Wang is from the School of Social Work at Rutgers University, and he is also the special assistant to the principal. Some school faculties attended the lecture, they are Prof. Ji-guo Yin, Prof. Zhi-hao Zhu, Prof. Xian Zhang, Dr. Zhi-yi Lin, Dr. Dan-Na Hong. Dean Song-lin Xu appointed Prof. Wang as the special researcher for the Guangdong Local Legal System Research Center at SCUT Law School.
      Professor Wang talked about the challenges for the U.S. public education and reform from the perspective of orientation of American public universities, educational operating transparency and accountability of public universities, and the problems arising from social changes as well.
