To All Departments and Institutes:
The Sixth Telling China's Stories in English Event is a large-scale comprehensive humanities and literacy activity centered on Chinese cultural dissemination, aimed at young students both at home and abroad. The event seeks to build a platform for young people to promote excellent Chinese culture and facilitate international exchange. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:
I. Group Setting
The competition is open to all full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students (including master's and doctoral candidates) across the university.
II. Stage Schedule
The university group consists of four stages: the Preliminary Round, the City Round, the Provincial Round, and the National Round. Participants must present all segments in English. The Preliminary and City Rounds will take place from November 2025 to March 31, 2026. After the preliminary materials have been reviewed and approved, participants must film or upload their video submissions by March 31.
III. Registration and Preliminary Round
1.Participant Registration
Applicants should scan the QR code below to log into the CN Stories mini-program and fill in the registration information on the My Story page. When entering the name of your university, please ensure that the full official name is used.
2.Uploading/Recording
Preliminary Round MaterialsAfter completing registration, participants must follow the system prompts to complete the preliminary round — they may choose either Upload Preliminary Materials or Record Preliminary Materials based on their individual circumstances.
3.Upload:
If a participant has previously taken part in English language activities such as speech, recitation, or debate (excluding songs or other talent performances), they may upload a short video or audio clip (no longer than 20 seconds) from a recent live event, in order to fully showcase their English proficiency and past activity experience.
4.Record: If a participant has no prior experience in language-based activities, they may record an English recitation audio following the provided example sentences. Each sentence should be no longer than 40 seconds.
The submitted preliminary materials will be reviewed. If they are not approved, participants may update and resubmit them. Each participant has a total of five opportunities to update their submission (the first submission does not count toward this limit).
