On May 8, a delegation led by Associate Dean Liu Hongdong of the School of Foreign Languages at Shandong University, together with Assistant Dean Zhang Hao and Chair of the Translation Department Xiao Di, visited our school for discussions and exchanges. Our school was represented by Dean Zhu Xianlong, Associate Dean Zhan Shuangjuan, Head of the International Organizations Department Wu Wangjiao, Director of the Postdoctoral Research Station Management Center Che Siqi, and Deputy Director Ma Mengqi.

Dean Zhu Xianlong, on behalf of our school, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He provided a detailed overview of the current development status of our International Organizations and Global Governance (IOGG) program, covering its distinctive features, core curriculum framework, faculty structure and allocation, and talent cultivation orientation. He particularly highlighted our school's initiatives regarding the enrollment planning for the new program, the development of future international exchange and cooperation platforms, and the establishment of inter-university collaboration mechanisms. Associate Dean Liu Hongdong presented the development of the IOGG program at Shandong University, sharing their distinctive practices in discipline system construction, innovative composite talent cultivation models, international education advancement, and practical training system development.

During the exchange and discussion session, both sides engaged in in-depth and meticulous discussions on core issues such as interdisciplinary collaborative pathways for cultivating international organization reserve talents, mechanisms for attracting and developing high-caliber specialized faculty and building academic echelons, joint development and sharing of curriculum resources, and collaborative construction of practice platforms.

This research exchange was practical and efficient. Both parties agreed to establish a regular communication and exchange mechanism, deepen practical cooperation in areas such as program connotation development, joint talent cultivation, development of high-quality teaching materials, and sharing of teaching resources. They will work together with concerted efforts to promote the quality improvement and distinctive development of the IOGG program, jointly contributing to the cultivation of more high-level, interdisciplinary talents equipped with a global perspective, a thorough understanding of international rules, and competence in handling international affairs.
