School of Foreign Languages Holds Meeting for Foreign Faculty at the Start of the New Semester

With the acceleration of globalization and the increasing frequency of international educational exchanges, foreign faculty members are playing an increasingly important role in China’s higher education system. On the occasion of the 40th Teacher’s Day, the School of Foreign Languages held a meeting for foreign faculty members to further enhance the management and service standards of international education and extend Teacher’s Day wishes to all foreign faculty members. The meeting was presided over by Vice Dean Xu Ying, with the participation of relevant department heads and representatives of foreign faculty members.

The meeting reviewed the experiences in managing foreign faculty members over the past year and outlined the priorities and directions for the upcoming year. At the meeting, Xu Ying fully acknowledged the positive contributions made by foreign faculty members to the development of the school and the university in areas such as teaching and cultural exchange. He also provided an in-depth analysis of the impact of changes in the current international landscape on higher education and teaching, encouraging everyone to play a more significant role in the reform of education and teaching. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of fostering professional ethics and conduct among foreign faculty members. Participants engaged in thorough exchanges and discussions, proposing specific measures for future work.

The school will continue to refine the systems for managing and supporting foreign faculty members, clarify responsibilities, and strengthen the supervision and evaluation of their teaching to ensure steady improvements in teaching quality. By working together, the School of Foreign Languages aims to achieve new milestones in its development. Furthermore, the school will organize cultural exchange activities to encourage foreign faculty members to actively learn about and promote Chinese culture, fostering mutual exchange and integration between Chinese and foreign cultures.
