Thematic Case Study from Our School Included in China Professional Degree Case Center Case Library

Recently, the Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education issued a notification regarding the conclusion of the 2022 thematic case projects. After evaluation, the thematic case project Research on the Cultural Inheritance and Dissemination Model of Overseas Chinese Students from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in Lingnan Culture, led by Professor Zhu Xianlong from our school, successfully passed the concluding review. The research findings derived from the case study, titled A Qualitative Study on Cultural Identity and Inheritance of Overseas Chinese Students in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from the Perspective of Strengthening the Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation, have been included in the case library of the China Professional Degree Case Center.


It is reported that under the guidance of the Expert Advisory Committee for China Professional Degree Case Construction, the China Professional Degree Case Center adheres to the principles of demonstration leadership, co-construction and sharing, and public welfare openness. It has essentially established a national-level, comprehensive case resource library and case teaching service platform covering major professional degree categories. The included cases are characterized by their contemporaneity, leadership, and academic rigor. In 2022, the Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center launched a nationwide thematic case collection among graduate training institutions, focusing on four major themes: Beautiful China, Intelligent Manufacturing in China, China's Scientific and Technological Innovation, and Chinese Heritage. The initiative aims to address contemporary hotspots, develop high-quality cases, meet the developmental needs of professional degrees in the new era, and contribute to the construction of a high-quality graduate training system.


In recent years, our school has deeply implemented the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, continuously advanced the reform of graduate training models, and placed high importance on the construction of graduate case libraries. The successful inclusion of this thematic case study will serve as an opportunity for the school to further deepen graduate education reform, accelerate the cultivation of high-level practical and innovative talent, and promote the high-quality, connotative development of graduate education.
