On September 11, 2025, the School of Foreign Languages successfully held its first semester management meeting for the 2025–2026 academic year for all foreign faculty members in the school conference room. The meeting was chaired by Professor Xu Ying, Deputy Dean of the school, and aimed to further strengthen the development of the foreign faculty team, clarify work objectives and requirements for the new semester, deepen management services, ensure teaching quality, and promote the in-depth integration and high-quality development of Sino-foreign educational and cultural exchanges. The meeting focused on the core systems of foreign faculty management at the school, with particular emphasis on the newly revised and refined Regulations on Ethical Education for Foreign Faculty at the School of Foreign Languages and the Code of Daily Conduct for Foreign Faculty at the School of Foreign Languages.

At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy Dean Xu Ying extended his greetings to all foreign faculty members on behalf of the school and expressed sincere gratitude for their active contributions to the internationalization of teaching, research, and talent cultivation. He emphasized that foreign faculty members are an indispensable and important force in the teaching staff of the School of Foreign Languages. They not only bear the responsibility of language teaching but also serve as bridges and envoys for disseminating diverse cultures, broadening students' international perspectives, and promoting mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations. At the start of the new semester, convening this management meeting served both as a review and reflection on past work and as a planning and outlook for future work. It was hoped that all foreign faculty members would deeply understand and strictly adhere to the school's rules and regulations, working together to foster a teaching and research environment characterized by integrity, harmony, order, and the pursuit of excellence.

During the meeting, Deputy Dean Xu Ying provided a detailed explanation of the Regulations on Ethical Education for Foreign Faculty at the School of Foreign Languages. He stressed that professional ethics are the primary standard for evaluating the quality of the teaching staff, and foreign faculty members should likewise uphold professional ethics and demonstrate dedication. Subsequently, the meeting elaborated on the Code of Daily Conduct for Foreign Faculty at the School of Foreign Languages clause by clause. This Code serves as a basic guideline for foreign faculty members during their work at the school, covering aspects such as teaching and research, interpersonal interactions, campus safety, and laws and regulations. During the discussion and exchange session, attending foreign faculty members raised questions on topics of concern, which were patiently and thoroughly addressed by the school's management personnel. The foreign faculty members expressed that through this meeting, they gained a clearer and deeper understanding of the school's management systems and cultural environment. They acknowledged that the school's regulations were established to create a more efficient and harmonious working mechanism, and they pledged to actively adapt to and comply with these regulations, working collectively to enhance teaching quality.

In his concluding remarks, Deputy Dean Xu Ying reiterated that standardized and orderly management serves as a crucial foundation for improving the school's overall educational standards and internationalization quality. He expressed hope that all foreign faculty members would internalize and embody the requirements of the Regulations and the Code, integrate into the school community as soon as possible, and engage in teaching and research work for the new semester with full enthusiasm. The school's management team also committed to continuously optimizing services, improving communication mechanisms, and striving to address practical challenges faced by foreign faculty members in their work and daily lives, thereby creating a more comfortable, secure, and supportive working environment for all.

The convening of this management meeting marks a new phase of more standardized, refined, and people-oriented management of foreign faculty members at the School of Foreign Languages. It lays a solid foundation for the smooth progress of various tasks in the new semester, further consolidates the collaborative efforts of Chinese and foreign faculty members, and drives the school's internationalization efforts and talent cultivation quality to new heights.
