Series of lectures are held in the School of Foreign Languages in order to promote the construction of the “new liberal arts”, broaden the academic horizon of its teachers and students, help them to cross professional gaps, master relevant humanistic research methods, and promote foreign language colleges and education, sociology and other multidisciplinary integration.

Dr. Shao Yanju is introducing the topic

On the afternoon of April 8, 202, Dr. Shao Yanju, Macau City University, was invited to conduct an academic lecture entitled Practice and Application of Quality Research Method. The lecture was hosted by Shuangque Zhan. And many teachers and students also participated in this lecture.                   

Dr. Shao Yanju started from how to carry out the data and data collection of quality studies, and she mentioned two aspects: First is an interview - What did I hear?The second is to observe - what did I see?Subsequently, she explained in detail about an interview. She elaborated in several angles, for example the basic knowledge about interviews; the preparation of interviews; questioning in interviews; the listening method and basic principles in interviews; the response type, method and timing of interviews; the documentation for interviews; the focus group concept; sampling and execution. Dr. Shao Yanju made detailed explanation in the seventh aspect. At the same time, some issues are proposed to interact with everyone.
