To further consolidate the duty performance of primary-level Party branches secretaries and comprehensively and deeply promote primary-level Party building, according to the unified deployment of the university’s Party committee, the Party committee of SFL organized the 2020 primary-level Party branches secretaries on-site meeting of report and evaluation on work on the afternoon of December 31st. School committee members, branches secretaries and representatives of teachers and students attended the meeting. Hu Yiping from the Organization Department of the university’s Party committee and Yin Zhihui from SPE also attended. Liu Yingsi, the secretary of school Party committee, presided the meeting.
Liu Yingsi conveyed the main spirits of the university’s notifications on the report and evaluation on the Party branches secretaries’ work, which required four aspects of evaluation as focus: organizing party members, teachers and students to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and conscientiously implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech and important instructions; promoting the standardization, normalization and branding of Party building; implementing ideological work and maintain campus security and stability; giving full play to the party branch and party members to participate in the evaluation of four aspects including the implementation of the school's annual major work.
Eight Party branches secretaries of school reported their work on-site in turn, which covered the basic situation of branch building, the characteristics and highlights of the branch building, the shortcomings and reasons in the work, and future improvement, etc.. The judges and representatives of teachers and students scored the report.
In the summary of the meeting, Liu Yingsi pointed out that every secretary performed their duties carefully and every branch had its own characteristics in the building. Some branches were prominent and had remarkable achievements. Several branches were only confined to the implementation of basic tasks, and needed further improvement in initiative, enthusiasm and critical effect. The school Party committee would evaluate and assess each Party branch’s work according to the revised Evaluation System of the Work of Primary-level Party Branch of SCUT. With the slogan of conquering problems with quick actions put forward by the university’s inspection group, Liu made detailed arrangements and requirements to strictly correct the problems found out by the group.
