On the morning of December 16th, teachers of the English Teaching and Research Office of the School of Culture and Art of Xinjiang Institute of Engineering visited our college for investigation. Vice President of our college, Xu Ying and other teachers of the English Department participated in the discussion. Mr. Xu introduced the overall situation and development trend of our college, the various curriculum settings of the college English teaching department, and the construction of the teaching staff; Zhou Pingdi, deputy director of the college English department, shared our experience in building knowledge courses and MOOCs; Deputy Director Zhan Shuangjuan introduced the practice and related experience of ideological and political construction.

 Liu Lina, dean of the English Teaching and Research Office of the School of Culture and Arts of Xinjiang Institute of Engineering, introduced the current development of Xinjiang Institute of Engineering and the problems in the development of college English. The two sides also held in-depth discussions on the construction priorities of college English listening and speaking courses, academic English courses, ideological and political courses, and the incentive mechanism for career development of teachers.

    In recent years, the college English teaching team of our college has been developing well, and has achieved excellent results in curriculum construction, which has been noticed and praised by sister colleges and universities in China. The college has always attached importance to foreign exchanges, actively built a platform for exchanges and mutual learning, helped our college learn from and share the excellent teaching experience, and constantly improve our college.
