Since the outbreak of Covid-19 virus, all the teachers of Party members from the faculty and staff of School of Foreign Languages have intensified efforts to control and prevent the pandemic under the unified guidance of school party committee. In order to score the goal in fighting against the epidemic, all the party members from the branch worked hard with solidarity and alleviated the front-line personnel’s burden with great concern, which stimulated the significance of grassroots Party committee and manifested the essential role of the Party pioneers.

As the survey suggested, numerous sanitation workers took up their duties with devotion during the pandemic to lower the transmission risk of the Covid-19 virus and safeguard the public hygiene. As the grassroots Party, it is our responsibility to respect, understand, care and help this group of people who have contributed themselves to the society with assiduity and selflessness.

To better fulfill the obligations, the Party branch has contacted the sanitation worker from No.1 Sanitation Office, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, Jinqun Huang, and learned about her and her colleagues’ working and living conditions after the epidemic hit. Jinqun Huang is from the No.1 Lidong village in Yunfu City, Guangdong Province. She needs to make ends meet with low income in Guangzhou, and support her parents in the hometown while raising two kids who have already attended school. As a matter of fact, most of the kids of sanitation workers are left-behind children. Although Huang brought two kids with her and sent them to migrants’ school, they stayed in her hometown due to the closing of the school caused by Covid-19 pandemic.

The Party branch purchased more than 51 abundant books and 16 various studying supplies, and delivered the items to their children as soon as they knew their plight, which ensured the kids to keep up with the ones from the cities. We believe the left-behind children will overcome the difficulties impacted by the pandemic and grow up in bliss and health nourished by knowledge and cherished by the Party members.
