After the COVID19 struck, the faculty and staff of School of Foreign Languages actively responded to the call of the state and the school, performing their duties and responsibilities. Every student obeys the arrangement and command, and actively engage themselves in the anti-epidemic work, giving out the light and heat from young volunteers. It is the persistent hearts and practical action that keeps the work of school and university in order and the faculty and staff feel the warmth of home. It also allows all students grow up in the fight against the epidemic. All teachers and students have successfully passed the exam in the cloud.
Cares are offered to those in need
On the New Year's Eve, people should have been together with their family and celebrated the festival. But the leaders and administrative staff of the school did not slacken off at all. They investigated the trips of Hubei faculty and staff the trips of Hubei relatives and friends to Guangzhou, and worked out the emergency plan for prevention and control. At that moment, they are concerned about the safety of more than 700 teachers and students.

With an increasing anti-epidemic work, the school formulated detailed work plans for teaching, scientific research and student management in a timely manner, which was compiled into the Disposal plan of COVID-19 prevention and control by School of Foreign Languages, a document to guide the overall work of the school.

It is worth mentioning that the college English teaching team has opened more than 200 teaching classes for more than 6,000 undergraduates in the whole school since the beginning of this semester, and the workload is as enormous as you can imagine.

Students have volunteered in their hometown. Some serve for the village and some work in shifts for their community. They help register the personnel information registration, take turns on duty and do the publicity of epidemic prevention knowledge. They also work to keep villagers' daily work and life well on track and help primary and secondary school students who have to stay at home due to the pandemic with their studies.
In the fight against the epidemic, foreign language students have not only helped others, but also have toughened themselves. A student called Chen Yihan said, from this epidemic prevention and control work, I deeply realize the important role in our lives played by the community as the grass-roots party organization and I will actively participate in community volunteering activities in my spare time in the rest of the holiday. Another student Xing Sihui said, we will not say that we are not frightened, but even so, something has to be done by someone. Compared with the front-line medical staff and people on duty in different walks of life, what I do is nothing.
