On the afternoon of October 21st, Mr. Liu Wenfei, the general manager of Meiyu Education Group as well as our alumnus who was admitted in 1994, paid a visit to the school of foreign language with a bid to hold a harmonious discussion in co-running schools and to promote university-enterprise cooperation. The name of faculty who attending the symposium are listed as follows: School Dean Zhong Shuneng, Party Secretary Liu Yingsi, Deputy Secretary Zhao Shuidong, Deputy Dean Zhu Xianlong, Xu Ying, Zhang Fengchun and other teachers.
Zhong Shuneng, the school dean, extended a warm welcome to the visiting guests and gave a comprehensive introduction to the basic situation of the college. He pointed out that under unremitting efforts and construction in recent years, positive momentum and great progress have been observed in all aspects including subjects, faculty, teaching, scientific research and personnel training. As such, it has now ranked among the leading in the province and the first in China. Liu Yingsi, the party secretary, expressed that the college has been exploring and expanding social service channels and seeking cooperation with companies with excellent social reputation and qualifications. Our rich alumni resources are of high-quality with great potential. We look forward to alumni returning to their alma mater to strengthen communication and contact, and actively explore the cooperation opportunity between alumni enterprises and the college.
Liu Wenfei shared his learning and and entrepreneurial experience, pointing out that Meiyu Group is based in Guangdong and positioned as a provider of service as well as of international development of Chinese universities. At present, it has successfully integrated the resources of dozens of domestic and foreign universities to jointly build international special classes, overseas campuses of Chinese universities, Chinese campuses of overseas universities and international cooperation programs.
During the meeting, both parties conducted further exchanges and discussions on the theme of co-running classes for studying abroad. That giving full play to the advantages of the university's platform and that of foreign language disciplines will promote high-quality overseas students to study in China and domestic students to study abroad. A consensus on serving the national strategic Belt and Road Initiative was successfully reached.
