In order to implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important speech at the “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind” theme education conference and the spirit of “Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the theme education of ‘Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind’ in the whole Party”, leaders of School of Foreign Languages attached great importance to it, formulated “a theme education activity plan of the Party Committee of School of Foreign Languages”, and organized the theme education activity of “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind” throughout the school.

The leading group of the school takes the lead in learning and gives full play to the exemplary role of leading cadres.

 Party Committee Central Group are learning

On the afternoon of August 22^nd, the School of Foreign Languages held a Party Committee conference, and the central group of the Party Committee held a seminar on educational theory with the theme of “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind”. Comrade Liu Yingsi, head of the central group of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee, presided over the educational activity. All members of the central group participated in the activity and had a discussion. At the meeting, Comrade Liu Yingsi conveyed the spirit of the relevant documents of the Central Committee and of SCUT, started the educational activity of “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind” and deployed related work.Later, the members of the central group exchanged views and discussed the self-study experiences of President Xi Jinping’s important expositions on Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind, President Xi Jinping’s learning outline of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and in-depth study of President Xi Jinping’s  important expositions on education during the summer vacation. Comrades attending the meeting had a deeper understanding of the practical significance of theoretical guidance and practice, and the seminar also aroused a heated discussion on the difficulties and bottlenecks encountered in the development and construction of the school. Everyone said that they should further improve their theoretical level and better guide their practice.

The secretary learns the theories in time to play the core role of Party building in grass-roots Party organizations.

Party and government joint(enlarged) meeting

On the morning of August 23^rd, the School of Foreign Languages held a joint (enlarged) meeting of the Party and the government, which comprehensively deployed the educational activities on the theme of “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind”. At the meeting, Comrade Liu Yingsi arranged related work in combination with the recent grass-roots Party building of the school and the newly issued “Working Regulations of the Party Branch of South China University of Technology (Trial)”; he also explained in detail the Theme Education Program of “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind” of the Party Committee of School of Foreign Languages, made arrangements for the work of leading cadres and Party members in theme education, and launched theme educational activities. Party branch secretaries and department directors(deputy directors) of all faculty members attended the meeting, and said that they would seriously organize the Party branch to implement the work arrangements and actively carry out theme educational activities.

Ordinary Party members learn from heart to play the role as a fighting fortress in the Party branch.

Faculty and staff in Party Branches are learning

On the afternoon of August 23^rd, all the faculty and staff in Party branches of School of Foreign Languages held Party meetings one after another to carry out educational activities with the theme of “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind”. All the faculty and staff members attended the Party meetings of their Party branches. Party branches have also carefully studied and discussed the Work Regulations of the Party Branch of South China University of Technology (for Trial Implementation) and the next-stage work plan of each branch, worked hard to “learn, understand and practice” with practical actions, guided the development of Party branch work, further strengthened the political life of grass-roots Party organizations, and played the role of the Party branch as a fighting fortress.
