Teacher ethics discussion site

In order to make teacher ethics education more detailed and practical, and the teaching staff can keep it in their mind, the School of Foreign Languages conducted a major discussion on teacher moral education on the afternoon ofAugust 23rd in the conference rooms of Building 4，following the special presentation on teacher ethics education at the end of last semester.

The discussion was divided into six groups, which were respectively organized by the English Department, Japanese Department, Spanish Department, Department of College English Teaching, Department of Graduate Public English Teaching and College Office, and the Party and government leaders ofthe College attended each discussion group.

Centering on the spirit of the document "Ten Principles of Professional Behavior for College Teachers in the New Era" and "Negative List and Treatment Measures for Teachers' Moral Misconduct in South China University of Technology (Trial)", the participating teachers expressed their opinions according to the 24 negative lists, combined with their teaching and management practice. Teachers had a lively discussion on consciously safe guarding national dignity and school reputation, strengthening national cultural identity, preventing ideological risks, maintaining classroom discipline, obeying the law, teaching and educating students, loving and respecting their work, and meticulously doing all management work. The teachers have expressed that they will not forget their original intention and mission, and will practice the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC with their actions, implement the fundamental task of moral education, and make their own contribution to the Party's education cause!
