On the morning of October 23, 2018, our school organized an exchange and study trip for the main staff of student work to the School of Foreign Languages of South China Agricultural University (SCAU), aiming to enhance the liaison and interaction between universities and promote the formation of a long-term mechanism of inter-School cooperation.
Deputy Secretary Zhao Shuidong and advisors of our Party Committee, as well as Secretary Chen Wenyi and Deputy Secretary Yi Hui of the Party Committee and advisors of the School of Foreign Languages of SCAU attended and participated in this exchange. Both sides discussed in depth the special activities and related experiences of the two colleges in party building, group building and employment.

At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary Chen Wenyi firstly expressed a warm welcome to the School of Foreign Languages of SCAU, and then introduced the basic situation of SCAU and its School of Foreign Languages to our delegation. After that, Deputy Secretary Zhao Shuidong said that the purpose of this exchange meeting is to promote the friendly interaction between the academic staff teams of the two colleges and to learn from each other’s experience and practice, so as to achieve the purpose of learning from each other’s strengths and complementing each other’s weaknesses and growing together, and to introduce the situation of our school accordingly.
Then, Secretary Chen Wenyi, Deputy Secretary Yi Hui and relevant advisors gave a detailed introduction on the ideological education, construction of party and youth league, and special activities of the School of Foreign Languages of SCAU. It has made comprehensive plans and elaborate designs in creating learning atmosphere, promoting communication between teachers and students, and improving students' quality, etc. It has opened a series of special activities with subject highlights, such as “Dean’s Lunch Meeting”, “Teacher-Student Tea Party”, “English Resume Contest” and “English Skill Contest”, which have been held to deeply implement the fundamental task of establishing moral education.

After that, Mr. Zhao Shuidong, the deputy secretary of our school, and the advisors elaborated on the work of student party building, league construction, brand activities, and student career planning and guidance, and discussed the issues related to how to better cultivate high-level foreign language talents, promote international communication, and carry out student work scientifically and efficiently in the context of the construction of Double First-class Universities.

The delegation of the two academies had an active exchange and interaction and achieved good communication results. This exchange and study trip has built a good platform for the communication between us and the School of Foreign Languages of SCAU, and also laid a solid foundation for further interaction and cooperation between the two sides in the future.
