On September 1st 2018, the school of Foreign language of South China University of Technology has successfully held the South China University of Technology-Tokyo Metropolitan University Joint Forum about comparisonand translation of Japanese and Chinese. Secretary Zou Hao, associate dean Wu Jianguo and associate dean Zhu Xianlong attended the opening ceremony of the forum, and Secretary Zou delivered the speech.
This joint forum is another International academic meeting including professors in Japanese and academicians and young researchers at home after the South China University of Technology-Tokyo Metropolitan University Joint Forum about language and literary of Japanese and Chinese in August 2015.The forum is well received by participants. During the one-day forum, based on the principles of seeking common ground while reserving differences, respecting each other, pooling wisdom and making common progress, we fully discussed the relevant academic frontier issues and achieved fruitful results.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the conclusion of the Sino-Japanese Treaty of Peace and Friendship. It is of great significance to carry out humanities exchange activities to enhance mutual understanding at this moment. Thus, the successful forum not only strengthen the inter-school cooperation between SCUT and TMU and academic communication of these two universities but also effectively provided a platform for contact and communication between fraternal universities and TMU, which is mutual-benefit and fully staffed.
