Zou Hao, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Foreign Languages, Professor Zhu Xianlong, associate dean of the School, and Zhu Dan, secretary of the Indian Ocean Island Research Center, visited the Institute of History of Guangzhou Academy of Social Sciences, and had a meeting with Director Wang Meiyi and the team members of the Institute on Wednesday afternoon, July 11, 2018.

Director Wang Meiyi introduced in detail the organizational structure and development plan of the Institute of History of Guangzhou Academy of Social Sciences, and shared valuable experience in academic research, team building, and social services. Secretary Zou Hao introduced the construction and development of the School of Foreign Languages of South China University of Technology in recent years, and communicated with Director Wang and the Institute team on the cooperation between the two sides in scientific research cooperation and academic exchanges. Associate Dean Zhu Xianlong made a brief introduction of the Indian Ocean Island Research Center and the MTI Education Center. The two sides communicated and exchanged views on the translation and publication of academic books and the study of the culture of Maritime Silk Road. Director Wang expressed the hope that the two sides will further expand the cooperation space by taking cooperative research as the starting point.
