On the morning of April 11th, 2018, our school organized the principal leaders of student affairs and student cadres to go to the School of Foreign Languages and Cultures of South China Normal University (SCNU) for exchange and study, in order to strengthen the communication and interaction between two sides and promote the long-term mechanism of communication, cooperation and common development.
Zhao Shuidong, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of SFL, Yang Yifei, Su Tingting, Counselors, Deng Siying, the Part-time Counselor, Chen Juncheng, the Deputy Secretary of the Postgraduate Party Branch, Yang Wenkun, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Foreign Languages and Culture of SCNU, Cheng Ying, the Postgraduate Counselor, Fang Xiaoxiang, the Undergraduate Counselor and organization member of the Party Committee, Zhao Di, the Undergraduate Counselor and Communist Youth League Secretary, Yan Huimin, the Undergraduate Counselor, Chen Chunfei, the Undergraduate Counselor, and Chen Hongjia, the Undergraduate Part-time Counselorattended and participated in the exchange, and conducted an in-depth discussion on the characteristic practices and beneficial experience of the two institutes in party building, Youth League building and employment.
An Exchange and Study Trip to the School of Foreign Languages and Cultures of SCNU
At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy Secretary Yang Wenkun delivered a speech to welcome our stafff of visiting the school of foreign languages and culture of SCNU, and introduced the overall development of the school to our delegation. Deputy Secretary Zhao Shuidong pointed out that the purpose of this exchange meeting is to promote friendly exchanges between the academic teams of the two universities, learn from each other’s experience and practices, strengthen cooperation and communication, aiming to draw on each other’s strong points to offset each other’s own weaknesses and make common progress. He also introduced the development status of students’ work in our college.

Then, Yang Wenkun, Deputy Secretary, and relevant counselors and teachers respectively elaborated and introduced the Party and Youth League studies in detail. It has formed a set of standardized mechanism system in the aspects of the organizational structure of Party and League, the development of students’ characteristic activities, the management and service of students’ information, etc., closely combined with the “Internet plus” technology to promote the innovative development of students’ work, and emphatically introduced the characteristic activities such as “I am a speaker”, “Micro-soundClass” and “Excellence Initiative”.

Subsequently, Zhao Shuidong, Deputy Secretary of SFL and the counselors introduced the students’ Party building, Youth League building, brand characteristic activities, and students’ employment planning and guidance. The delegations of the two academies had positive exchanges and interactions. They learned from each other, discussed and exchanged experience, and achieved good results in exchanges.

This exchange study provides a good platform for communication among universities, and also lays a solid foundation for further cooperation. At the same time, it will also provide reference for future exchanges and cooperation with other universities.
