On 13 March 2018, School of Foreign Languages’ Party Committee’s theoretical study centre group conducted a special study on the spirit of the 19th Party Congress in the College’s Conference Room 4417——Deepening the Study of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the Spirit of the 19th Party Congress of the Communist Party of China. This meeting was chaired by Secretary Zou Hao of the College’s Party Committee, and members of the College’s Party Committee centre group and branch members attended the meeting.

Ongoing focused study

The meeting focused on the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 19th Party Congress of the Communist Party of China, which focused on political awareness, emphasized political attitudes and strengthened political shaping. Secretary Zou Hao stressed that the report of the 19th Party Congress is informative.This report is a political declaration and action programme for the new era, and a solemn commitment to the whole Party and the whole nation. Party comrades should learn and understand it thoroughly, to integrate it, to comprehensively understand the great significance and major deployment of the 19th Party Congress report, and to integrate the spirit of the 19th Congress into the development and construction of the college students and their personal practical work.

Then the party members present studied the original text of the 19thNational Congress report, actively carried out discussions, combined with practice to talk about experience and feelings, and achieved a positive learning effect. After returning to their respective jobs, they said that they should be armed with Xi Jinping’s thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and the spirit of the 19th Party Congress, so that they can really learn, understand and apply it, and strive to be proper guardians and practitioners of the spirit of the 19th Party Congress.
