At 11:30 a.m. on December 26, 2017, the employment and graduation promotion meeting for undergraduate students from class of 2014 was held in Room 4502. Zhao Shuidong, deputy Secretary, delivered the speech. All of the undergraduate students from class of 2014 attended the meeting.

Secretary Zhao first explained the attention for employment, including employment suspension and employment breach and other common problems. Secretary Zhao also interpreted the relevant policies on the household registration and archives of students preparing to go abroad or take the postgraduate entrance examination. Secretary Zhao especially reminded everybody, whether preparing for employment or pursuing a master’s degree, should make good use of this precious winter holiday, look for their internship coinciding with their major or interest, and be ready for the graduation internship credit. At the same time the students should also gain a lot from the internship and get to know which field they want to enter in the future.

After that, Secretary Zhao analyzed the students’ transcripts and reminded the following students of paying special attention to whether their credits reached the standard. First, students who have been to other schools for exchange; Second, students whose swimming is still not up to the standard, and those whose sports (IV) grades are not reflected in the transcripts; Third, students with insufficient credits in elective courses; Fourth, students who have not reached the standard or earned enough compulsory credits. Secretary Zhao hoped that students pay more attention to their course credits and learning conditions, so as to avoid not being able to graduate normally because of insufficient credits.

Regarding the TEM-8 test in the second semester of the senior year, Zhao stressed that the test is a very important measure for future employment. Secretary Zhao introduced the passing rate of TEM-8 in our college over the years, hoping that the graduates can make adequate preparation for the examination. For graduation thesis, Secretary Zhao stressed that students should determine the topic of the thesis as soon as possible and complete graduation thesis with high quality on time, making good preparation for graduation.

At this moment, the meeting ended successfully, and the students benefited a lot and had a clear understanding of the matters about the employment.
