Prof.He pointed out five senses which boost the development of translation ability. Firstly, translators should get rid of the shackles of SL and express the "meaning" of the SL after equivalent transformation. Secondly, importance should be attached to the cognitive differences between SL and TL. Thirdly, target readers go first. Fourthly, renaming is a good choice when foreign names are translated into Chinese. Lastly, translators, the principal part of translation, should take into considerationpragmatics elements such as communicative intention, emotional tendencies, attitudes of discourse and social communication and culture.At last, he said, “Translators must focus on the practice of translation, and learn theories from practice. It is the direction we should take."
