From 19 May to 21 May 2023, the 3rd NSFC Youth Symposium on Civil Engineering, sponsored by the Engineering Sciences Fourth Division of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and hosted by South China University of Technology, was held at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. The conference brought together over 300 representatives from more than 50 domestic and international universities and research institutions in the field of civil engineering. The distinguished participates included four academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering/Chinese Academy of Sciences, including Professor Xuhong Zhou from Chongqing University, Professor Jianguo Nie from Tsinghua University, Professor Manchao He from China University of Mining & Technology (Beijing), and Professor Qingrui Yue from University of Science and Technology Beijing, as well as over 50 national-level high-level talents and more than 110 national-level young talents. This symposium served as a significant academic exchange event in the field of civil engineering in China.
