With the support of the “International Scholars Unbounded Lecture Series Project” from the International Office at South China University of Technology, the Department of Hydraulic Engineering in collaboration with Senior Researcher Ye Qinghua from Deltares Research Institute/Delft University of Technology, successfully organized three online series of academic lectures on October 13th, 20th, and 27th in 2022.
Senior Researcher Ye Qinghua's academic lecture was conducted both online and offline simultaneously. The session was moderated by Professor Yin Xiaoling from the Department of Hydraulic Engineering, with the full participation of Professor Cheng Xiangju, the Director of the Department of Hydraulic Engineering and the Secretary of the Water Resources and Engineering Management Party Branch, in the listening and questioning discussion section. Additionally, several teachers, postdoctoral researchers, doctoral students, and master's students from the Department of Hydraulic Engineering gathered in Conference Room 307 of the Transportation Building to attend the lecture in person. The online session was broadcasted via Tencent Meeting, attracting nearly 100 participants, including experts, scholars, students from other universities, and professionals from the water resources industry. Both parties expressed their commitment to strengthening future research collaboration and exchanges, working together to advance the sustainable development of green and intelligent water management.
