On September 11, the first national college students' industrialized architecture and intelligent construction finals were successfully concluded online. The competition lasted more than 300 days and attracted nearly 500 teams from more than 170 colleges and universities such as Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Zhejiang University, and South China University of technology, with a total number of 3063 participants. Finally, the four teams of South China University of technology, composed of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation, the School of Architecture, and the School of Environment and Energy, successfully advanced to the finals and won one first prize and three-second prizes. South China University of Technology won the excellent organization award. The list of awards is as follows:

The first national college students' industrialized architecture and intelligent construction competition was initiated by Southeast University, with Architectural Society of China as the guiding unit, and jointly sponsored by the Academic Committee of the industrialized architecture of China Architectural Society, BIM branch of Architectural Society of China, Southeast University and China Academy of Building Sciences Co., Ltd. Dean Professor Wu Bo, and Dean Sun Yimin from School of Architecture served as members of the competition committee. The purpose of this competition is to advocate a diligent and enterprising campus atmosphere, stimulate the innovation potential of college students, cultivate teamwork and engineering practice ability, further promote the reform of practical education and university teaching, enhance the research and exchange of China's industrialized architecture and intelligent construction, promote the reform of talent training mode in relevant fields, and build a new form of government, industry, university and research cooperation platform to improve the quality of personnel training.
With the theme of digital design and intelligent construction of prefabricated concrete buildings, the competition adopts the work presentation method of combining scheme book, video animation, and physical display focuses on the innovation of works in architecture, structure, electromechanical, construction, and operation and maintenance management, as well as the application level of BIM Technology, and encourages virtual reality, 3D printing, intelligent robot, big data analysis. The comprehensive application of new technologies such as the internet of things encourages interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary collaboration and industry-university research cooperation. Give full play to the innovation potential of college students and improve students' understanding of industrialized buildings. Excellent works will provide a reference for the development of housing industrialization and architectural industrialization in China.

Facing the challenge, the team members of South China University of Technology are united. Since November 2020, students and advisors developed novel design schemes, pass the screening of the preliminary competition, advanced to the finals, and won excellent results after the defense test of judges from all over the countryafter dozens of discussions, design, modification, and optimization.
South China University of Technology has always attached importance to the scientific and technological innovation of college students. With the attention of the leaders of the University and the college and the strong support of the academic affairs office, the Youth League Committee, and other departments of the University, the teachers and students of South China University of Technology participated in the first competition and achieved good results in one first prize, three second prizes, and the school excellent organization award. The number of awards ranked among the top in the country.
