Speaker Introduction:
Dr. Li Ning Yan isan associate professor of the Department ofReal Estate and Construction inthe University of Hong Kong.He is theVice-Dean of the School of Architecture, the Vice-Director of the Department of Real Estate and Construction, a Fulbright Hong Kong Scholar, as well as the member of RICS and CIREA.
Dr. Li is a member of Appeal Board Panel(Town Planning Board of Hong Kong) and the appellate court of the building ordinance of the Hongkong Special Administrative Region. Dr. Li’s research has been widely supported by government and private sector grants including the Audit Commission of the HKSAR Government and the Urban Renewal Authority of Hong Kong.In terms of international collaboration, Dr. Li has had previous and current research projects with different institutions such as Tsinghua University and Peking University in Beijing; Griffith University in Australia and the Institute of Oriental Studies in France.
Dr. Li's main research direction is the social and economic impact of land use policy. He has published more than 50 academic articles in international specialized journals. And he is the author of Privatization of Urban Land in Shanghai, Urban Land Reform in China ,逃不开的房地产(Tsinghua University Press) and other seven academic monographs.
In today's society based on high-speed information interconnection, outdoor sports and leisure activities are rapidly disappearing from people's daily lives compared with previous generations. It is increasingly realized that the design of environment and the induction of activities for people, especially the time when people live in theirown communities(especially before and after work), will be an important factor to compensate for the decrease of human activity time. Therefore, the healthy community is one of the most popular interdisciplinary topics in the world. These problems deserve our consideration.
