Experience sharing Summer practice was the first time for the studentsofgrade 2016 to have the chance to combine the knowledges in textbookswiththe engineering practice experience. Students went to Canton Chang Da Highway Engineering Co., Ltd,and ShenZhen PengChen Construction Co., Ltd,for a visit,respectively. Theylearned aboutthe workcontent andenvironment in the construction site oftheSecond BridgeofHumenand visited the prefabricated element manufacture factory of PengChen ConstructionCo., Ltd.Through this practice, students learned about thevalueof several enterprises, established positive outlook, and setbetter plansfortheir universitylives.

From the visit and study in the international companies, like Arup, students learned about the different operation modes of construction industry between domestic and aboard. At the same time, they visited several different project construction sites. From building construction to reclamation, they learnedaboutthat differenttheoretical knowledges and engineering experiencefrom several disciplinescontributing to the finish of each project.Besides the major study and academic communication, it’s also important and impressive for the students to experience the different culture in Macao. During the practice vacation, students visitedUniversityofMacau, including the classroom, environmental lab, structural lab, library and so on.They experienced both thecolorfuldaily life andtheuniversity culture of UniversityofMacau.Furthermore, after the lecture from the well-known school fellowarchitecture Cai TianTian,theylearnedabout the substantial influences from the interdisciplineknowledges inthe career.
Visit in Universityof Macau The students in grade 2014 went to University of California in San Diego and University of Pennsylvaniaforaninnovation and business training. The most impressive thingwastheworkshop to draw up a business plan. The professordividethestudents intoseveralfour-people groups.Each group has a hundred thousandinvestment limit. Theycouldinvest their money after the show of each group business scheme and the best groupmighthave the most investment.Through the group discussionandconsulting to the professor, the students gradually learned how to have a complete and accurate introduction about their business scheme. Both their learning and communication abilitywereimproved.
