Recently, Jian Wurong, a postgraduate student in his third year from the Innovation class of Engineering Mechanics, the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation, amazed everyone for publishing six papers in one year.
Jian Wurong entered the Innovation class of Engineering Mechanics, the department of Engineering Mechanics and the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation in 2010 and started his master program since 2014. He is under the supervision of Prof. Yao Xiaohu (School of Civil Engineering and Transportation, South China University of Technology) and Prof. Luo Shengnian (Chengdu Dingfeng multi-scale institution, a member of the recruitment program of global expert, adjunct professor and doctoral advisor of South China University of Technology). His current research focuses on shock wave physics, dynamic response of material under impact, mechanical property of nano-materials. Jian Wurong was sent to study at Chengdu Dingfeng multi-scale institution in 2015, and published six high level research papers from June 2015 to March 2016. One was published as first author in Nanotechnology (a top journal in the field of nanotechnology, CAS JCR 2nd zone, impact factor 3.821) and two were published in Journal of Applied Physics (t CAS JCR 3rd zone, impact factor 2.183). He also won the national postgraduate scholarship (2014-2015).
When mentioned his achievements, Jian Wurong said all he achieved was owe to four points: efforts on study, guidance of advisors, good academic atmosphere and advanced laboratory equipment. He emphasizes that in his first year of undergraduate and postgraduate, he read a lot of papers and took part in some researches after mastering the basic knowledge, which improved his competence in scientific research.
