Prof. Li Yulong (left) and Prof. He Xiaoyuan (right)
21 December, 2015, Prof. Li Yulong (Northwestern Polytechnical University) and Prof. He Xiaoyuan (Southeast University) visited the South China University of Technology (SCUT), and discussed the state-of–the-art achievements in area of mechanics.
Prof. Li Yulong gave a talk about the research on bird-aircraft collision. He elucidated the techniques and instruments applied in the experimental study, modelling of bird and aircrafts, as well as numerical simulation. Prof. He Xiaoyuan provided a lecture about the modern photo-mechanics and its applications. He introduced principles and implementation of the non-destructive full-field measurements, including digital image correlation and speckle interferometry.
The lectures attracted wide interest of the undergraduates and graduates. During the lectures, heated discussions took place between the lecturers and audience.
