On November 28th, 2015, the Establishment Ceremony of ICES-SCET Student Chapter & Guangzhou Global BIM Summit was held in the Academic Hall of Transportation Building in SCUT.

At 9:00 A.M., the host declared the opening of the summit. The dean of SECT, Prof. Cheng Su and the Chairlady of ICES China, Ms. Jingyi Lv announced the establishment of ICES-SCET Student Chapter. Then the fabulous ‘Global BIM’ summit started. First of all, the speech ‘BIM- A New Project Management Style ’by Mr. Zhixuan Liang, aroused the enthusiasm of the audience. Then ‘The popularization and application situation of BIM in Guangdong Province’ from Dean Guolong Yang and ‘The exploration of construction project management efficiency improvement by using BIM’ from Mr.Wo Huang promoted the atmosphere to a climax. At the end, Dr. Wang Yang brought a completely new visual experience to the audience by his speech ‘BIM+’. After that, the first half of the summit was announced an end.
The speakers
At 14:00 p.m., the enthusiastic of the summit started burning again. ‘The application of BIM in infrastructure field -- the global overview’, brought by Dr. Jack Cheng, broadened the horizons of audience, while “BIM, do owners know how to use?” brought by Mr. Yanyong Ye, enhanced the awareness of proprietors. Last but not least, ‘The application of BIM in infrastructure projects’ from the Ms. Ying He and ‘Transformation in traditional building industry--Deduction of 5D BIM in the Germany industry 4.0’ enriched our knowledge from another perspective. Finally, with the audience’s questions and the awarding ceremony, the summit perfectly came to an end.
