At 2:30 pm, on November 21, 2015 , ‘the Interview of Outstanding Alumni of SCUT Construction Management Major” was successfully held by Construction Management Society in the academic hall of Transportation Building.
Huang Wo, the Chief of Guangdong Wangtat Construction and Investment Group, as well as Chen Tong, the Managing Director of Guangdong Wangtat Construction and Investment Group, was invited as the guests of this interview.
The Interview Scene
During the interview , the two outstanding alumni introduced the whole process project management and their group’s concept of green building, Additionally, they shared their management experience on the way towards success, and the most troublesome difficulty they have faced.
In the progress , they comprehensively and profoundly answered the host’s questions, in terms of which quality should Construction Management major students have? And whether the students should pursue further studies? What’s more, they talked about their opinions on popular building technologies like 3D printing and BIM. Specially, on the question of the differences between female engineers and male engineers, Chief Huang put forward the idea that ‘female engineers can be more extraordinary than male engineers.’ In addition, she warned the students, ‘Except knowledge, attitude is of more importance.’
Heated Discussion
The next Q&A part provided audience with a chance to get a deeper understanding of our two alumni. By giving students concrete analysis, Huang and Chen tried their best to clear up our doubts.
At the climax of the interview , Pro. Wang led an incisive discussion with the alumni, about the Extensive Construction phenomenon in China.
