From July 20th to 23rd, 40 excellent students of grade 2014 of SCET was divided into two groups, led by Ji Jing, Zhou Linren and Yu Xianfeng, to have one-week engineering practice in some companies in Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
In Guangzhou, 20 students went to Guangzhou Wangtat Project Management & Consultancy Co., Ltd which is one of top hundred China supervision enterprises. The students were divided into 4 groups and had engineering experience in the subsidiaries and departments of the company. They also visited the representative safe construction areas and quality civilization areas in the constructing program sites. Afterwards the engineers of Wangtat explained the characteristic, safety and quality of the constructing programs to students. During these four days, students got to know the procedure of consultation, evaluation and cost approval of engineering programs in different departments. They even took part in the process of engineering design, experiencing the work of the departments.
In Shenzhen, the other 20 students went to Shenzhen Peng Cheng company. On the first day, manage Li introduced the basic situation and development trend of the company to the students and then students consulted him about production technology, industry trend and employment prospects. The students were divided into two groups and practiced in the constructing sites, prefabrication factory and national labs to learn about the necessary procedures of site operation. By communicating with the engineers, students had deeper understanding about the development trend of the industry, the revolution and innovation of production and personal management mechanism.
