Signing ceremony
On the afternoon of May 22, a big data lab of traffic planning, co-built by SCET and Traffic Data, was unveiled. Prof. Su Cheng, who was a president assistant, related officials of Office of Academic Affairs and Laboratory & Equipment Management Division, and the Traffic Data’s general manager Zhuang Bin attended the ceremony.
On the ceremony, both parties signed the contract of cooperation and “Granting Plan of TrafficData Scholarship,” with a hope of promoting the practical development of both parties through cooperation. Representative from SCUT gave a plaque of “Teaching and experimenting Base” and a donating certificate to the general manager of the TrafficData. The granting plan consists of two parts: the TrafficData scholarship and TrafficData excellent graduation design (paper) scholarship with 150,000 yuan for students excelling in both study and behaviour.
Visiting the laboratory
Both sides also visited the lab and learned its five teaching experiment system functions, including resident trip investigation and traffic flow investigation.
As was reported, Traffic Data donated 2000,000 RMB teaching sources to the traffic planning big data lab. Earlier, the company had sponsored 300,000 yuan to the 10th National Competition of Transport Science and Technology for Students (NACTranS), which was hosted by SCUT. (Photos/ News Wu Jianling, SCET)
