On the afternoon of April 24th, the School of Environment and Energy held a special study on the ideological and political education of teachers and the construction of professional ethics in Conference Room 215 of the Environment Building. More than 100 people attended the meeting, including members of the college leadership team and all faculty members. The meeting was chaired by Comrade Chen Yan, a member of the college's Party committee and vice - dean. 

Comrade Chen Yan led all the faculty to study the Party's innovative theories, with a focus on General Secretary Xi Jinping's important remarks on teachers. They also studied the spirit of important documents such as the Code of Professional Ethics for Teachers in Institutions of Higher Education, the Opinions on Establishing and Improving a Long - term Mechanism for the Construction of Teachers' Professional Ethics, the Opinions on Fully Implementing the Responsibility of Postgraduate Tutors for Fostering Virtue through Education, the Action Plan for the Revitalization of Teacher Education (2018 - 2022), the Ten Guidelines for the Professional Behavior of College Teachers in the New Era, the Guiding Opinions on the Handling of Unethical Behaviors of College Teachers, the Code of Conduct for Postgraduate Tutors, the Opinions on Further Strengthening and Improving the Construction of Teachers' Professional Ethics, and the Opinions on Improving the Long - term Mechanism for the Construction of Teachers' Professional Ethics in the New Era issued by the Ministry of Education, preparing for problem - finding and centralized rectification in the following study and education. The meeting emphasized that college teachers should enhance their political stance, arm their minds with the Party's innovative theories, continuously strengthen the construction of professional ethics, and establish their conduct, learning, and teaching based on virtue. Subsequently, Dean Chen and the attendees studied the Key Points of Work of South China University of Technology in 2025 together and were reminded of the prevention and control of integrity risks regarding the application and review of scientific research projects.

Special Centralized Study on the Ideological and Political Education of Teachers and the Construction of Professional Ethics

Hu Yun, the vice - dean, explained in detail the common problems in the correction of undergraduate teaching papers recently and the precautions for the undergraduate graduation design of the class of 2025. At the meeting, Dean Hu led the faculty to study the Degree Law of the People's Republic of China that took effect in 2025, focusing on the analysis of the revised content in terms of degree - awarding conditions, degree - awarding procedures, the submission of degree theses for review, and the academic review procedures. The meeting required that all teachers should strengthen their sense of responsibility and carry out the relevant postgraduate training work in strict accordance with the revised degree system.
