In the final of the 2024 China International College Students Innovation Competition in 2024, the university achieved excellent results of 6 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals. In the 14th "Challenge Cup" National College Students Entrepreneurship Plan Competition, it won 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals, and won the "Winning Cup" again. Among them, the project Pollution - Control and Soil - Purification: The Pioneer of the Integrated Treatment of Heavy Metal Pollution in Mining Areas guided by teachers such as Lu Guining, Dang Zhi, and Wu Honghui from the School of Environment and Energy of South China University of Technology, with Fu Qixian as the person in charge, won the national gold medal in the 2024 China International College Students Innovation Competition. The project Green - Energy Ammonia: The First - of - its - Kind Integrated Technology for Pollution Control and Ammonia Production, Helping the Value - Addition of Wastewater guided by teachers such as Chen Yan from the School of Environment and Energy of South China University of Technology, with Su Jiayu as the person in charge, won the national silver medal in the 14th "Challenge Cup" National College Students Entrepreneurship Plan Competition. Therefore, our school was awarded the "Excellent Organization Unit for Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship in South China University of Technology in 2024", and our school has won this honor for two consecutive years.
