On December 3, 2020, Hong Yaxiong, office director of the second national census on the sources of pollution of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China, visited our college. President Ye Daiqi, Party Secretary Chen Hangyu, Vice President Zhu Nengwu and some faculty representatives of our college had a discussion with the visiting guests in Conference Room 102.

At the symposium, the dean of the School, Ye Daiqi, reported the overall situation of the School and the achievements made in recent years on behalf of the college. Huang Haomin of our school reported the basic situation, work progress and achievements of the National Engineering Laboratory of Volatile Organic Compounds Pollution Control Technology and Equipment. Then, the visitors and the School leaders and our faculty representatives exchanged views on the key issues of environmental pollution throughout the country. Hong YaXiong gave full recognition to the contributions of our faculty members on the environmental pollution control and the national census of pollution in recent years and especially the VOCs pollution prevention and control. At the end, he expressed his views on the new environmental elements from the perspective of pollution census, and gave some guiding opinions on the development direction of the discipline during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.

After the symposium, Director Hong Yaxiong and his delegation, accompanied by Dean Ye Daiqi, visited the laboratory building of Guangzhou International Campus, the wisdom classroom, and the Junde College, so as to experience the international educational philosophy and multicultural campus atmosphere of the Guangzhou International Campus.
