The main research areas of the Signal and Information Processing Group cover the Blind Signal Separation (BSS), Image Processing, Digital Home Networking, RFID, Information Security and so on. We aim to establish one of the first class research groups in the world, make significant innovation in some technical front, and foster the persons with creative and technical ability.
The group is composed of 5 teachers, 2 postdoctors, 13 doctor degree candidates and 28 master degree candidates.

In these years, the group preside many science and research projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Excellent Youth, Key Program of National Natural Science Foundation, National Natural Science Foundation, Specialized Prophasic Basic Research Projects of Ministry of Science and Technology, National Basic Research Program of China(973 Program), Guangdong Province Science Foundation for Program of Research Team, the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province.
