
Duizhen Li, male, born in October 1958, from Danzhou of Hainan Province. He joined works in August 1974 and served in several positions, e.g. as a worker of state-run farm, 整顿社队企业工作队队员, and a teacher of secondary school. In March 1978, he was luckily become one of the first batch of undergraduate students after the restore of college entrance examination and enrolled the undergraduate program in electronic computer (Class 20277) of the School of Automation of our university.
Since graduated in February 1982, he had been assigned to work on technical jobs in the Gongbei Customs. He had been served as clerk, deputy section chief, section chief, deputy director, and director of the technical department of the Gongbei Customs. In June 1999, he has been the party member and the deputy customs director (Deputy departmental level). In December 2007, he was transferred to the Jiangmen customs to serve as party member, deputy customs director and party secretary and director of the anti-smuggling bureau with the rank of police commissioner class two. In 1992, he has been promoted to senior engineer.
During the period of working on technical tasks and management tasks in Gongbei Customs, he undertakes several projects as the technical person in charge, e.g.《拱北海关VAX-11/750计算机应用系统》, 《拱北海关计算机网络工程》, and 《拱北海关报关自动化系统》. He was awarded the first prize and the second prize of the national customs system science and technology progress award, “珠海市优秀共产党员”, “珠海市劳动模范”, “广东省双增双节立功竞赛先进工作者”,“全国海关先进工作者”等荣誉称号。
After arrival to the Jiangmen Customs, he devoted many efforts to fight and strike smuggling. He had commanded investigations 8107, 113, 7409, 7126 and several major cases supervised by the General Administration of Customs including the smugglings of pangolin, cow leather and dehumidifier, total value involved over two billions Yuan. It has dealt a severe blow to smuggling and criminal activities in Jiangmen, Yangjiang and adjacent areas as well as the West Bank of the Pearl River Estuary and effectively maintained the normal order of import and export trades. It has been officially recognized by the leaders of the General Administration of Customs and the Ministry of Public Security, and won widespread praise from the community.
