RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dynamic geometry processing: Mainly focus on acquisition, reconstruction, subspace analysis, and compact representations of dynamic geometries. We are also interested in shape editing and deformation of meshes based on these representations.
Image and video editing: We have conducted research on image resizing, matting, color transfer, video interpolation and stabilization. We are also studying dynamic geometry processing combining geometric, image and video information.
Digital geometry processing: Include various topics, 3D shape deformation, 3D shape interpolation, subdivision-based modeling, mesh geometry processing, topology editing, and mesh optimization.
ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE AND ACTIVITIES
Before joining in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology in 2003, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in State Key Lab of CAD&CG, Zhejiang University (From Sep., 2001 to Sep. 2003). He was a lecturer and then associate professor from 1994 to 1998 in the School of Computer and Information Engineering, Guangxi University, Nanning, China. He became a teacher of the department of mathematics, Guangxi College of Education in 1990. From 2002 to 2008, he visited the City University of Hong Kong Several times for collaborative research.
He has published 90+ papers and more than 30 papers were published in international mainstream journals on computer graphics such as ACM TOG, IEEE TVCG, CGF, CAGD, C & G and TVC etc. He has served as the PC member of international conferences including Geometric Modeling and Processing, Shape Modeling International and CAD/Graphics. He is now in the editorial board of Journal of Computer-aided Design and Computer Graphics and CADDM.
