Research Areas:
• Solid oxide fuel cell of hydrogen sulfide, including preparation of proton-conducting membrane and electrode catalysts, electrochemical reaction mechanism and rate, effect of fuel gas flow on cell performance.
• Biological and chemical oxidation treatment technology for wastewater, including biological reactor development, advanced oxidation process and coupling biological and chemical oxidation.
• New proton-conducting membrane fuel cell using ethane and propane as fuel, including PEMFC behavior, development of electrode catalysts and electrochemical reaction process.
Current Research Projects:
• Fabrication and performance of an intermediate-temperature H2S fuel cell with a Li2SO4-based proton-conducting membrane, Supported by Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation
• Investigation of anode catalysts for H2S solid oxide fuel cell, Supported by Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation
• Industrial application in high-concentration organic polluted wastewater by biochemical treatment, supported by Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Development Program.
• Biological treatment of heavily polluted water containing sulfide and phenol from an oil refinery, supported by Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Development Program.
