演讲人简介：
    Lihua Xie received the B.E. and M.E. degrees from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 1983 and 1986, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Newcastle, Australia, in 1992. Since 1992, he has been with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he is currently a professor. He concurrently holds an adjunct appointment as a Changjiang Professor with South China University of Technology. His research interests include robust control and estimation, sensor networks, networked control systems, time delay systems, and control of disk drive systems. He has received several awards for his research including the best paper awards from the 29th Chinese Control Conference, the 7th Asia Control Conference; and the 6th World Congress of Intelligent Control and Automation. He has served as an associate editor of several archival journals including Automatica and IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control. Dr. Xie is a Fellow of IEEE and a Fellow of Institution of Engineers, Singapore.
