As an effective way of humanism education and language education, Chinese ancient poetry contains rich spirit and language resource.
In the evening of May 11, 2017. Chinese poetry concert was held in concert hall on University Town campus.
Some of the classic Chinese poetry was sung by Assosite professor Wu guoling and explained by  Assosite professor Chen gangyi.This special concert attacted more than two hundred audience.
Assosite professor Wu guo ling  is Soprano. She graduated with a bachelor degree from Xinghai Conservatory of Music in 1999 and obtained Master degree of Music from Odessa State Academy of Music in Ukraine in 2002. She then got her PhD Degree in 2006. She has won the second prize in The World Singer Contest 2006 held in Ukraine and many other excellent prizes in international music contests. She successfully starred in the opera ‘Marriage of Figaro’  and the music opera ‘Phantom’. In 2009, she was invited to star in the opera ‘Madame Butterfly’ in the music hall of Hong Kong Great Hall and was highly praised by the audience and media with the comment of ‘Butterfly from Guangzhou flying over Hong Kong’. She successfully held three solo concerts in Hong Kong and Guangdong in 2005, 2010 and 2011 respectively. She is now the director of the Vocal performance Department of School of Arts in SCUT.

Assosite professor Chen gangyi graduated with a master degree From Kharkiv Conservatory of Music in Ukraine.Now he is vice director of the Vocal performance Department .He is also a Master's Supervisor.
