Introduction:
Associate professor of Department of Vocal Music, School of Arts, South China University of Technology. Graduated from the Sichuan Conservatory of Music in 2001 with a master's degree. From 2015 to 2016, she was a visiting scholar at the Department of Music, University of Nottingham, UK. She mainly engaged in vocal music performance, vocal music teaching and research.
Tang Min has a deep understanding of European opera and national vocal music works, and pays attention to the development and mutual reference of Bel Canto and national singing. She actively followed up and learned advanced vocal performance skills and methods, continuously improved her vocal quality by asking for advice from well-known vocal experts and participating in master classes. She successfully held several solo concerts and performed prominently in various performances.
As the project leader, she presided over provincial and ministerial research projects, key projects and general projects of independent scientific research funds of central universities, school level teaching research project and “student research plan” project of the South China University of Technology. As the first author, she has published more than ten articles in academic journals including Chinese Music, People's Music, Music Creation and Sichuan Drama. She also published a monograph and released a personal vocal CD album.
She has devoted herself to teaching, mainly teaches the core undergraduate course “Vocal Performance”, and has taught courses “Chinese and Foreign Music Appreciation”, “Vocal Music Elective Course”, and “Vocal Music Literature” among others over the years. Paying attention to teaching students according to their aptitude and good at inspiration, adhering to moral education by setting good example for the students. In the relationship between teachers and students, she has created a positive and healthy school style. Some of her undergraduate students were admitted to graduate schools in Italy, Russia and domestic well-known music colleges, and many of her undergraduate and graduate students won awards in domestic and international vocal music competitions.
