The RNCM(Royal Northern College of Music) is a leading international
conservatoire, located in the heart
of Manchester, UK. For many years,
the RNCM has been the first choice
institution for a large number of
aspiring professional musicians from
the UK and from across the world.
The history of the RNCM can be
traced back to 1893, with the
foundation of the Royal Manchester
College of Music with Sir Charles Hallé
as Principal. The RNCM was formed
in 1973 from the merger of the Royal
Manchester College of Music with the
Northern School of Music (founded
1920). The RNCM is one of the Royal
Schools of Music and Her Majesty
The Queen Elizabeth II is Patron.
Today the RNCM is a thriving
conservatoire with more than 700
students at both undergraduate and
postgraduate level.
