Introduction:

Young composer, associate professor, graduate student supervisor, and member of the Chinese Musicians Association. He is currently the assistant dean of the School of Art at the South China University of Technology and the deputy director of the Department of Music Academic Studies.

Major research interests: Music Composition, Music Theory, Compositional Techniques, Pedagogy of Aural Skills.

Major works: the art song “Spring Sound and Painting” received the Excellent Song Award of the third Chinese Music “Golden Bell Award” <No Level>; “Fantasy Fire” for three soloists and a group of percussion received the fourteenth “Wenhua Music” Excellent Works Award of the Ministry of Culture; the piano solo “Swaying Song” received the eighth Chinese Music “The Golden Bell Award” silver prize and the Guangdong Lu Xun Literature and Art Award; the oratorio “Pioneer - Sun Yat-Sen” (cooperative) was premiered at the Xinghai Concert Hall; and the chamber music Dream Back Thirteen Elements was premiered at the Xi'an Concert Hall.

He has also won first prize in the Classroom Competition for Young Teachers at the South China University of Technology; the Excellent Teaching Award of “Teacher Honor System” at the South China University of Technology; and the Outstanding Contribution Award for Outstanding Musicians of Guangdong Musicians Association.
