In September 27th, Prof. Lei Li from Xiamen University visited AISMST and gave a lecture themed synthesis and application of microporous organic polymers. Prof Li also communicated deeply with Professors in our institute. 

Microporous organic materials can be designed potentially, but it takes a long time to prepare, as the molecules are hard to polymerize. Therefore, our group start research on design and synthesis of new microporous materials. Prof. Li introduced his work. 

Through the design of polymerization methodology, His group obtained a mass of new porous polymers based on bitumen and coal tar by hypercrosslinking polymerization and studied the applications in the field of gas adsorption, inflaming retarding and antibacterial. In addition, the group also obtained a new type of microporous organic polymer with controllable structure and high specific surface area through radical polymerization.
