Time flies. It has been almost one month since the freshmen of Innovation Class 2016 entered the. It is only natural for them to have confusion about the study and the all-English teaching mode. Therefore, on October 20, 2016, in order to let the collage new-comers know more about the campus and the major, some upperclassmen were invited to share their experience.
Arranged by the school, nine upperclassmen of Innovation Class 2015, including Class Monitor Wei Wang, League Branch Secretary Huisi Xiao and Class Representative in Charge of General Affairs Wentao Zhong, shared their firsthand life and study experience and answered questions brought up by their underclassmen. Through this meeting, the freshmen not only learned from some valuable experience, but also got a clearer picture of collage life and all-English teaching mode.
The upperclassmen took the floor one by one after a short opening remark given by Class Monitor of Innovation Class 2016 --- Hangyu Zhong. Wang answered some questions about courses, study methods, and what the evaluation criteria for Outstanding Class were and how to win such a title. Xiao and Zhong focused on class activity arrangement, class management, and the balance between study and others. Class Representative in Charge of Study Jiapeng Li introduced how to use the campus intranet, how to search for literature in the school library website, how to find and apply the most-used databases. His predecessor Cang Liu shared with the class his experience and strategy in study and introduced some competitions related to the major, which helped the class, from different aspects, know more about the major. Last but not least, Class Representatives of Activity and of Arts and Sports mainly talked about their own experience on class activities, study and campus lives.
Through such an informative meeting, the freshmen knew more about the campus and the major. With their confusion over study and school life very much cleared, we are confident that they will make more and better achievements in their study.
