On September 29, 2017, an enjoyable Mid-Autumn Festival party was held in Room 205, Building No. 14. Not only all students participated in the activities, but also some teachers including Professor Friedemann Brock, Gary and his wife, Professor Xuihui Dong, Professor Wei Zhang, and the administrative staff.
At around 2:00 p.m., the two hosts -- Pengfei Zhang and Zhuorong Wang were rehearsing, while the administrative staff and some early-commers were preparing for the party, doing jobs like placing tables and chairs and washing fruit.
By 3:00 p.m., all the preparatory work had been completed. With the arrivals of all participants, Zhang announced the activity began amid applause.
First, Deputy Director Liu Yang introduced the guests participating and played the video of our school. Then Zhang introduced the history of Mid-Autumn Festival and invited the foreign guests to enjoy some moon cakes. After that, Yushuo Liu and Xiaotian Xu sang the song I Want You with their lovely voices; and Yingzhi Zhou, Ni Zhang, Jie Yang and Mengzhen Yan performed the beautiful song My Love. They earned a big round of applause with their excellent performances. During the break, chats, laughter, fun games and joy packed the room.
The second part is Lantern Riddles.Three English riddles were given and the first person who came out with the right answer got a small gift. Many interesting ideas were uttered with Yushuo Liu got the first one right.
The last part is Pass the Parcel. When the music stopped, the one who got the parcel needed to perform or play Truth or Dare. Professor Xuehui Dong and Professor Wei Zhang naturally could not get rid of the parcel passed by the enthusiatic students. The game brought us loads of thrill and excitement.
At about 5:00 p.m., the party came to an end after a group photo was taken. Some students took their English novels or notebooks to teachers for signatures. With the help of all participants, the room was cleaned up soon and all tables and chairs were replaced. Moon cakes tasted. Performances enjoyed. Friendship promoted. What a wonderful afternoon!
