In July 2021, The China Scholarship Council (CSC) announced the admission results of the 2021 State-funded Graduate program of a High-level National University.Wang Ming, a 2019-level Ph.D. student, obtained the qualification to study abroad. He will go to Canada, The University of British Columbia (UBC) for a 12-month joint training. UBC has a long-standing reputation and ranks 37th in the latest Times Higher Education 2022 World University Rankings and 2nd in Canada. Ming Wang will conduct research under the guidance of well-known professor Orlando Rojas. Its research team is based on the UBC Department of Chemistry and Bioengineering, Department of Chemistry, Department of Wood Science, and Department of Biological Products and Biosystems of Aalto University in Finland.

Ming Wang’s current research direction is based on cellulose, especially bacterial cellulose and wood, through interface chemical or physical modification, combined with liquid metal nanoparticles, to construct cellulose-polymer composite conductive materials, and It is used in the field of flexible electronic devices. Currently, as the first author, he has published 3 SCI papers in the authoritative international journals Adv. Funt. Mater., ACS Appl. Mater. & Inter., and the second inventor has one authorized patent.
