At 3 pm on November 15, 2020, the doctoral dissertation defense meeting of 2017 doctoral student Shenghui Zhou of our group was held at D306 State Key Laboratory of Pulp and Paper. The defense committee experts are composed of Professor Yufang Chen (chairman of defense committee), Professor Haisong Qi, Professor Xiaohui Wang, Professor Xiaoying Wang, and Professor Junfei Tian from South China University of Technology. And the Associate Professor Fengxia Yue is the defense secretary.

Since joining our laboratory in September 2017, Shenghui Zhou has been engaged in the preparation of biomass-based catalysts and their catalytic hydrogenation and conversion. During his doctoral period, he has published many SCI papers and applied for many patents. In addition, he won national scholarships and principal scholarships.

Here, we congratulate Shenghui Zhou for successfully passing the defense of his PhD thesis again and wish him all the best in his future work and life!
