On the afternoon of August 5th, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) announced the admission results of the 2020 National construction of high-level university public graduate project. Cunzhi Zhang, a 2018-level doctoral student in our group, obtained the qualification to study abroad. Cunzhi Zhang will go to McGill University in Canada for a 12-month joint training and conduct collaborative research under the guidance of Professor Yixiang Wang. In the latest 2021 QS World University Rankings, McGill University ranks 31st in the world.

Student Cunzhi Zhang is engaged in the research of nanocellulose-based functional materials currently. Since 2016, Professor Qi Haisong’s research group has obtained CSC publicly-sponsored study abroad qualifications for 2 consecutive years and a total of 2 graduate students have carried out extensive and in-depth research cooperation with internationally renowned scholars, and enhanced cooperation and exchanges with overseas high-level universities and scientific research institutions .
